Making your return joyful and successful
At Your Return To Work we are excited by the increasing momentum to support working parents. Colleagues and organizations are eager to better our workforce and future, and do the right thing. There is a movement underway and we want to be part of it. That's why we're focusing our attention on individuals taking parental leave, and the colleagues, leaders and organizations working to support them.
While there are clear benefits to taking time off to care for a newborn, parents can face real difficulties when returning to work - financial, health, schedule and heart management challenges can take their toll. Balancing a career and family is tough! But it’s also full of many joys. And while there are a number of initiatives in motion to address unconscious biases at work and at home, champion greater access to paid leave and address the “leaky” pipeline of working moms (which we love and applaud!), few are solely focused on how to best support parents who took a temporary leave and are most likely returning to the workforce months after having a child. This is where we see an opportunity to contribute something to these broader efforts and do good.
The birth of a child is one of the most wonderful and complicated periods of life. Learning to integrate and balance work and life is no easy feat (in fact it’s an ever-evolving process), which cannot be done alone. That's why we believe that by building a community of people and open-sourced materials we can help individuals and organizations to better manage their parental leave and return to work process.
To start we're sharing actionable and time-based nudges with leave-takers. We hope to expand content to managers and colleagues, and fully expect content to change over time as we learn more from our users and the research. Our mission is to make your return to work experience, joyful and successful. Because we know (from the data and experience) that your happiness matters.
